Help me choose

guys i am looking for a new 40-42 inch led tv. done some research but ended up confused, looking for tv with good panel and excellent 2D PQ (As most of the time we spend watching 2d content), and Decent 3D performance. my budget is around 80k.

i plan to close my purchase in couple of days, please suggest currently am considering KDL-42W800A, not sure if this is good choice.

42 is a good size for or distance, passive is of course better for 3d compared to active..

Take a demo of Samsung LED 40F6400 and then comment on active 3D!!
In 80K Budget you can even look for the same LED I mentioned above and also Samsung Plasma 51F5500 ( 72K). This Plasma is packed with features! Bigger the screen better it gets!!

40/42" is the right size for your viewing distance and a 51" plasma is not suitable for that viewing distance.

While the 42W800 is good,if you can increase your budget you can get a 40W900 for 86k(in snapdeal) which is better overall.

You can also have a look at panasonics 3d led tvs too....far cheaper then equivalent Sony n comes with 3 yr warranty n the 2013 range has mostly got rave reviews all over the Internet especially it's 2d PQ.

You can check out panny 42ET60...I don't know if the higher ranges are available in India. Though the higher DT60 range also comes with local dimming...Don't know if this is available here or not.

But yes, If u can go for the w900...go for it eyes closed...brilliant tv or if ur ok with alternatives...do check out panny too...my 2 cents.

For 42, six feet is good enough, 50 will be overkill. I also personally feel 3D is a waste hardly any content.
