Hello everyone,

Recently imported some sony zx707 digital audio player protection cover cases from Amazon japan, Total amount was around Rs 5000/- only. It was sent via DHL from Amazon japan.

I got this message from DHL

"The KYC process is required to initiate customs clearance of parcels -- not documents or letters. Please note: books are parcels. You may access KYC forms at www.dhlindia-kyc.com.

In some states, interstate regulatory paperwork/permit (IRP) may be required following customs clearance. If IRP is required, you will receive a call from DHL. To find out if IRP is relevant to your shipment, please visit https://www.dhlindia-kyc.com/RegulatoryRequirements-IRP.htm."

I submitted the KYC documents on their website via the link above.

But the link for "IRP" gives server error 404.

The package was delivered yesterday. All went ok. No additional amount was asked by DHL.

Does IRP needs some additional state wise duty/tax to be paid by the customer?

I reside in Punjab.

Now I want to import a double cassette deck amounting to Rs 43000/- all included (Including import duty and shipping cost) from Amazon japan.

Read somewhere that above Rs 10k there are some forms to be filled for Punjab state, but not clear if some additional duty is to be paid.( See attachment)

If you have experience/ knowledge, please help.

Thanks in advance
