Can somebody guide me to get 1:1 mapping in Optoma HD20 FHD projector connected to an HTPC via Emotiva UMC1 Pre-Pro?

HTPC (Win7) : AMD Proc with Gigabyte 780 based MB / Connected to Emotiva UMC1 thru' HDMI out from HIS Iceq ATI 5670 display card

The text is not sharp and hence assuming that it is not mapped 1:1 (?)...

Please help.

- Is there any setting in HD20 to make it 1:1?
- Does the overscan option in HD20 useful for this? Currently it is being used to fill the screen (but not perfect)

What you are looking for is an option in Catalyst Control Center called "Scaling Options" (Overscan/Underscan). Change the values by moving the slider. Mostly 0% should do the trick.

Remove Emotiva from the chain and try the above. Then connect Emotiva back.

How to make sure whether it is 1:1 mapped, Is there any setting in HD20 to do that like in samsung lcd tvs menu (dont remember correctly)

Text will appear the sharpest.
Images will be in the same aspect ratio as the original. For example create a perfect circle in powerpoint. See it through the projector. If its still a perfect circle and not oval, the aspect ratio is the same.

Sajith, any luck with mapping? Actually I'm having almost same problem. In my case when I connect my Zotac mini HTPC directly to PJ I get good picture on the screen but when it is connected via Yamaha RX 371 AVR, the picture quality deteriorates very badly and loses signal at times. I'm waiting for some expert advise.

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
