Help Required for a 2.1 system (currently)

Hello People,

Been reading this forum for a while and its been very informative.

I have a PS3 Slim and would like to upgrade the sound experience while playing games or watching blu rays.

So mainly just for watching movies.

I was thinking I would probably start off buying a decent Amp + 2 speakers and a sub.

I will upgrade it later.

Budget would be around 10k- 15k... (I hope its enough)

The amp should be able to decode HD audio. The reason I do not want to go for a Onkyo 3200 is because I heard that audio is hdmi pass through.

I am from bangalore.

Any inputs would be appreciated!

the entry level avr (onkyo) will cost ~40K
