Help!!: Suggest 220V to 110V Converter/Step down transformer for Bose Wave Music III

Hello,

Which is the best place to buy a step down transformer for my Bose Wave Music III in bangalore. My Bose Wave Music III needs 110/120v 260 watt.
I bought 500Watt Converter(220V to 110V) "Safegaurd" , but it just trips the power supply in my house. When I bought this from SP Road I had checked the output using Multimeter. Please help!

Your 500 Watt converter should not trip the power supply in your house.

Try it at a friends house-- if it trips there also-- then your 500 Watt converter is defective. if it does not, then your your house circuit breaker is defective

Thanks. I tried in my friends house and there also it trips. Looks like my converter is faulty. I checked in few shops in SP road. Maxine brand was not available. Do I buy a Isolation stepdown converter/ transformer ?

This happened to me as well once and all I had to do was to remove the earthing line from the power plug. Pls try.

Hello, so the ARW1-1W 115VAC can be powered by 220VAC using a drop-down transformer?, Right? The Bose Wave Radio has a 500W converter so you can use this method to power-up the Bose ARW1-1W, but if your circuit breaker pops it means the Bose ARW1-1W has a faulty 500W converter?, Right? Just asked about the Bose ARW1-1W 500W converter using a step-down transformer from 220VAC to 115VAC for the Bose ARW1-1W Wave Radio, and if my house breaker pops it means the Bose 500W converter is defective, right? Picture sent of Bose ARW1-1W Wave Radio. Thank you for your time.
