Please help me choose power equipment's to protect and power my AV setup.
I want protection for the following:
AV setup:
a 55inch plasma tv
a Denon AVR
a BD Player
Stereo setup:
a 250w stereo amp
a Denon network music player
a Parasound pre-amplifier
Computer desk:
a Desktop + monitor
a NAS drive
a wi-fi router
My requirements are:
Most of the equipment is rated for only 120v so I need couple of step down transformers.
I need power backup for my computer to sustain power failure at least for few minutes for a graceful shutdown. Same with my video setup, need power back up for a graceful shutdown of the setup.
From what I read so far what I could gather is:
1. I need a surge protection at my mains, so what is my best bet?
2. As I only run my stereo for only couple of hours in a day, it is best to run the stereo purely on an inverter batteries with the mains off to the inverter and when stereo is not use the inverter will be charged from the mains. Best inverter?
I have zero knowledge of electricals so please help me choose the power equipment's for my needs.
TIA.
