Hi everyone,
I am Shiv and working in Chennai. This is a nice forum with loads of knowledge. Thanks to Google for introducing me to this forum when I was looking for electronic shops in Bangkok and Singapore as I am going there on a holiday with with family.

My interests are listening to old hindi music, watching English movies and fitness. I mostly listen to my music on my 1GB iPod and Soundmagic PL-11headphones. My music journey has just started as I was introduced to Hi-Fi systems by my father's friend in my native. He has an old Technics system and he advised me to buy good quality speakers from brands like Klipsch, Wharfedale & B&W etc first. I don't have a system yet. My plan is to buy bookshelf speakers from abroad and use it with an AV Receiver. Slowly I will build rest of the system for listening to music and to watching movies.

Welcome to HFV. You will find many a knowledgeable members with loads of information. It is a very well maintained database. Hope this forum helps you in what you are looking for.

My humble suggestion would be to have 2 setups, a stereo setup with minimum bookshelves for stereo setup and an AVR for movies.
