Pardon me 'bluraymaniac', as I don't intend to hack your thread, but I thought it should be fine to introduce myself also in the same thread.
So here I go.
Guys, I'm also new on this forum. I got to know this forum while I was searching reviews and technical informations for Onkyo HT systems. So, joined here. Now I find myself addicted to be on this forum, most of the articles are really interesting and much of my interest
About me, I love watching movies and recently watched most of the IMDB toppers.
I am quite new on Audio-Video systems. I haven't yet experienced 5.1 system.
So far, I have been using 2.1 stereo system to watch TV using Airtel HD-DVR.
However, recently got a 40" Sony 3D LED TV and about to receive my first Home Threatre system Onkyo HT-22HDX. (I have a small room in rented house, so thought of starting with this compact HT system initially.)
I haven't yet got a bluRay player. However I have been using "laptop+HDMI+TV" combination to watch 1080p HD movies, courtesy - internet download !! That's why never thought of buying a bluRay player. I'll be glad if guys here change my mentality by proving that there is huge difference in watching BluRay Rip and watching with BluRay player
Let's see how 'hifivision' ruin my future and create a big hole in my pocket by creating interest in me for new HiFi systems

technobhatt u could have started ur own thread anways . blu ray rips are mostly 720 p .plus sound is compressed . most movies need 50 gb disc . of which 30 to 40 gb is used do you see any blu ray movie on net of that size ? if yes can u download .

plus if u go like that u will need many hdd or delete again and download again . while you have player and disc u can watch anytime and store it.
blu ray player anyday over blu ray rips .
plus you have 3d tv , get a 3d blu ray player and enjoy 3d movies in hd .
