As introduction I am just putting my thoughts on hifi, some opinions maybe wrong. The best feature of the Internet is the forums. It is very nice to have an Indian forum for hifi.
I am mostly interested in audio hifi. The first experience I had with Hifi is with cassettes. My relative had Technics player plus amplifier and speakers. It was like 25 years ago. Now, hifi is mainly vinyl and CDs. There has to some place for casettes because cassettes were the first time the music became available cheaper and there is a large variety. Maybe I think so because I have bias favoring them. Also LD movies is something I missed completely.
Another thing I like about Hifivision is the For sale by owner section. Hifi is something very suitable for second hand market because the products are made in such good quality and last long, also there is some subtle difference between brands and products so people can and like to experiment. Foreign magazines had so many listings for second-hand products. Indian magazine actually has too less. Auction sites used to be good place for people to sell. Now, they seem to be mostly filled with commercial interests obsessed with ratings.
So many thanks for Hifivision for this nice forum and happy to be here.
