I am new to this forum.

Want to set up home theatre

have the following
Sony 40 inch Ex720 LED 3d TV


Want
good amplifier, speaker set , blue ray player

How is Denon AVR 1612 / HKTS9 - 5.1 / Panasonic Blue Ray player
How much should it cost.
Any other ???.

Budget : rs. 70k-80k

i want to add a pair of FS..can u suggest me some decent entry level FS within 25k?
i listen only to music .

@Noel - If you listen only to music, why have you went for AV receiver? Any particular reason? I think it would have been good for you to buy a stereo amp at that price than a receiver.
Anyway, at 25K it is better you get a pair of decent Bookshelf speaker than a FS. Look for Aviano 2, Wharfedale 10.2 at that price. Although, I am not sure how will it pair with Denon 1312.

When it comes to serious home theatre please do not even think of regular consumer electronics brands like sony, samsung, lg, etc............they might be kings in making tv's but they do not have any place here.

Please go with reputed and renowned names like Denon, Marantz, Onkyo, etc when it comes to receivers. You can't beat them.

You have a good budget...........I would suggest a good entry level AVR if you want 5.1 audio for movies from Denon. For speakers you can go with polk audio, wharfedale, mordaunt short, Boston Acoustics, Canton, etc.......These are some of the good names. Please do not buy anything before you hear them.

Hi, I think you need to buy a CD machine and a high quality steoro and i think Sony is good, but you should also pay attension to some professional brand. As you like music so much

As Aashakr said, don't even think of Sony apart from TV and may be disk players.

No hifi component at all from Sony, Samsung, LG and other mass market product manufacturers.

Try Pioneer 1021 AVR, and Boston Acoustics A 25 (Bookselfs) and Pioneer Bluray player, I am using it in my Living and experiencing really great and drop me if need more details and the best price where u can get this.

Hi.. If I may ask, where did you get your Goldenear speakers from? I am keen to buy them in Mumbai, if possible (Aon 3). I am planning to use them in place of KEF R300 so that I do not have to bring the R300 to India.
