Guys I am really confused in selecting between yamaha rx v473 & denon avr 1612 while the former has the years of exp. in making quality receivers and the later has audessey eq feature. I am going to use the receiver with polk audio TSI 200 at front and Polk PSW 110 Sub. Kindly advise which receiver I should go for. Is audessey feature can be the deciding factor? Is it that important?. Please advise.

My Yamaha also YAPAO for room calibration - similar to Audessey of Denon. I think the same will be available on all Yamaha AVRs

Yamaha YPAO is available in all models. On a related note, Yamaha has more servicing centers where as with Denon servicing can be a problem as they have only limited service centers. I had to ship the avr twice to Chennai for service. Each shipping cost me Rs.1.2K one side. My next AVR will be a Yammy.
