Hello joshiks7,

Though I am not very old in the AV world, I am putting forth my 2 words..

Since you have not mentioned whether you are looking for a package or wd be building the system by putting components together....There are 2 routes which you can take:
1) Either you can go and straightaway purchase a HTIB package. There are HTIB packages like Onkyo, Denon, Yamaha and many other brands. Which I think start from around 25k and go up.
2) The second way is to put the components together like getting the AVR, floor-standing speakers for front, satellites for rear (sides also if going for 7.1) and a sub-woofer. You can try and build this kind of system and try to fit it in your budget. This way I think you would get a better system than following the first option.

There are other threads also in this forum which I have come across who have asked similar questions. So you can always look around. All the best.

50k is a good budget.
buy a avr denon/marantz/yamaha/onkyo around 35k...
buy 2 fronts speakers sonodyne/polk/wharfedale/paradigm....bookshelves enough..

buy centre later, sub later, surrounds later....when budget is tight its better to go step by step way....

if want them all dont invest 50k on a htib set...
buy onkyo 3400/3500 or denon 1312xp....according to your choice..more or less 30k..around.
but maybe just after 6 months you feel a upgrade itch....so going step by step is better for atleast 3 years you wont feel the upgrade itch...

very imp is demo...demo first multiple times...

hi,
I am planning for amplifier from Denon with 2 front speakers from wharfedale in 50k to begin with. Planning to add sub and surround later when I gather money.
Is it okay or any suggestions?
What is the exact model of each?
Approximate cost?
Which cables to use?
Thanks

evry persons liking is different.you have to hear denon+wharfe, denon+something other to decide whther you are liking it or not.
to begin with denon 1912 is a decent avr....1612 is also there cost-28k...1912 higher..
no need to buy huge expensive cable....a thumb rule...for cable...4 to 8 percent of total cost...
for a 1 lakh set up 10k....still that is not a constant statement...liking and budget...an optimum value is to be reached...

try sonodyne range...very VFM...off course hear as many as possible combos...

Hi,
I got Denon 1612 from Profx for 25.5k but it's availability is less(hurry up).
Check the below links for AVR and spkrs :-

Profx - Advanced Audio Solutions
Profx - Advanced Audio Solutions

u will get around 10% discount for the above prices if u can a bargain a bit.

My suggestion is to go for Denon 1612 and tsi400(around 50k)
Denon and polk's combination is very good

listen to as many systems as you possibly can and then decide. Some AVRs sound better with some speakers.................and yes Denon go well with polks!!!

Hi,
How is Denon amplifier with Mission 5.1?
any user review of mission speaker?

I have been using a Mission M35i speakers (Borrowed from my brother for 2 weeks) in approx 150Sqft room size (14 feet wide x 11 feet length) with Marantz receiver powered by Sonodyne Stereo power amplifier...& i must say they are really a very good combo (For Film music).....I actually have wharfedale diamond 9.2's with Marantz receiver...

But now started to like Marantz + Mission Combo....Mission when paired with Marantz are not warm like wharfedale diamond 9.2. They sound just right....neither warm nor bright...

Take a demo & then decide...

This year, Denon has AVR1713 (2012 model ) at the price some where around 35k. If cheaper, Denon AVR-1513 is around less than 30k (might be some where near 25k).
Marantz is very costly. If the low end models of Yamaha, Denon, Onkyo start at around 25k, then similar low end models of Marantz might cost near 45k to 50k. Any way, either Yamaha, Denon or Onkyo would be more than enough. One thing I can say here and in fact the experts have also confessed it. They are finiding very difficult to compoare between Yamaha, Denon and Onkyo as they all perfom at almost same level. So it would be better if you go and do the audition and choose what suits the most.
For speakers, I must confess that I have very little knowledge on that. Still here are my thoughts. In yamaha, there are speakers available around 20k mark, but I heard that they are not good. What I have heard is that the Jamo low end speakers (like A102 with a subwoofer) are cost effective (around 30k) and as well as a good peformer for the money you pay.

hI,
Thanks, we have no dealer in Solapur for sonodyne.
From where to purchase and how to install? What about ASS?

Hi,
If I get good Denon amplifier in 30k and want floorstanders from KEF in another 30k to begin with, is it okay or possible?
Surround to be added later---which one?
Hows KEF brand review?
