Hello,

I have Jamo S708 and I was wondering which amp to use. The sensitivity of the speakers is 92dB which is quite good. Would a 50 W amp suffice or should i go for more power??

The room is about 200 sq ft.

Hi,
ya a sensitivity of 92 is great so u can settle for a lower powered amp(50 watts) or so but if u buy a higher power amp now it will help if and when u upgrade to bigger or better speakers which will be about 88 - 90 db. Some amps sound bigger than the stated power(rotel) and some dont even come close so if u hear ur proposed set up and are satisfied with the sound output level go ahead and buy. Cleaner power is better than more power.

Regards

Here's an excellent calculator with some analogies to put it in perspective:
