How to select correct Home Theater for Samsung 48''UHD TV

Hi All, I have recently bought Samsung 48" UHD TV. Samsung Curved UHD 4K 48inch TV JU6670 Price, New Curved Television Features
Did not opt for the bundled AV system for which they reduced Rs5K. Now I want to buy appropriate Home Theatre to see HD movies & UHD movies from Netflix. Suggestions please

Suggestions depend on your budget, need and constrains. However I will suggest you to visit one or two HT shops and understand your need. You can do more research in this forum, and ask for help on anything.

Thanks. My budget can stretch upto Rs. 50k. Mostly movie viewing. My son will catch a pie of 50% on music. My wife with 20% on classical music (she is into active Veena). If I could be suggested with a good system will be great

If you are looking for Home theater in a box(HTIB), check out Yamaha's YHT-299 or YHT-2910. It is good enough to for a medium room of 12x8 feet. It will get you started and slowly you can upgrade the speakers to bigger ones if you want more precision.

Hi,

There are different systems and brands available. You need to audition and decide what sounds good, looks nice and within your budget. There are many dealers, go window shopping and check the systems...shortlist the ones that appeal to you and then finally buy it...we can help to recommend something from the shortlist.

If budget is a constraint, look for good deals on pre owned stuff in the For sale by owner section or Hi Fi Ads...all the best!

Hi Under 50k you can buy a good HTiB system from Yamaha/Onkyo/Denon/Pioneer which is good enough to watch movies .After some time (1 or 2 years later)most of the listeners(includes me) tend to move to an AVR and speakers.
Since your family likes music too,if budget permits IMHO better you can buy an AVR with two good front speakers ,later step by step you can add the center,surround and subwoofer.Its upon your decision which AVR & speakers suits your taste.
For doing all these you require budget,time & patience.
As suggested by our FMs ,you need to visit to the audio shops and have a demo ,shortlist and decide what suits your requirement.

Please don't mistake my feedback. I wanted to buy a new TV. Few of my friends hyped UHD TV. It is best no doubt. But today no UHD channels are available. At least for next 5 years, we may not get continuous content like today we get for HD channels. Hence it is good to settle for a HD TV. You get a shear luxury to go bigger and most importantly TV's are redundant without a good sound system those days & more these days. Next your question about Curved TV. Curved TV is a craft and best for viewing and it really is. Our room is 16* 8. Unfortunately I cannot locate it that way. So had to install in the 8ft side. The viewing distance is very short. Hence the curve TV helps a lot. I could really feel it. Even if it on the 16ft side, we can have inclined seats and can see the TV majestically. We still can have lot of free space behind so that the room doesn't looked cramped and people could still move around.

Curved TV is good, No drawbacks at the moment, Overall it is very good compared to flat TV
