First it is very nice to have such forum which answered most of my questions, I been reading the posts from many months and I get decent over view.
Now I need some expert advice for my HT setup.
My Room size : 12ft X 10ft.
Current Setup: Bose Acoustimass 10 series (With passive sub woofer)
Sony receiver , (I don't remember model number, it is basic 5.1 receiver 80w /Chanel)
TV: 29" Samsung CRT.
Sony DVD player.
Preference: 70% movies and 30% Music.
I want to upgrade now, and I have budget close to 1.5 - 1.75 lakh.
I want to upgrade my TV to Samsung (UA40C7000WR )40" LED TV.
Any suggestions here.
I want to upgrade my receiver to ONKYO TX-SR608
Buy one active sub woofer and pair it with my existing BOSE speakers.
I want advice on what sub woofer to be bough which can be paired well with BOSE speakers.
Alternatively I can sell BOSE and buy completely new set of speakers, but I think It will shoot up my budget further.
I want to spend some money on acoustics of the room. Carpet, MDF for walls and false ceiling.
Any alternative and suggestions are needed.
I also need to buy Blueray player & HD media player and game console.
I am open to all modifications / suggestions in every aspect, as long as it don't over shoot my budget significantly. But I like to build decent HT.
