Unfortunately, In India, professional services often face a tough challenge—not because of a lack of expertise but due to the reluctance to pay fair fees for their time and knowledge. It’s ironic that while we don’t hesitate to spend lakhs on high-end equipment, we often undervalue the expertise that makes it truly shine.

I know of a guy in Hyd who once specialized in audio setup services. Unfortunately, he stopped offering his services because of this. He shared a heart-wrenching story of visiting a client who spent 18L on a music setup but withheld 5K from his 20K fee, promising to pay after a week of testing. That week never came, and the client stopped responding entirely. Despite dedicating two full days to the project, this guy found himself chasing payments, a pattern repeated in several similar experiences. This behavior not only discourages talent but also diminishes the value of the expertise that enhances the very system we invest in.
