what do you guys think of IGBT stabilizers. they seem to provide 230V +-1% constant for an input of 185V to 270V.

I was thinking to get this for my Hegel H160 setup with Marantz 8005.

Poor life expextency as I have witnessed on my home UPS. Eventually had to accept a replacement to DSP and MOSFET based Transformer model.

Different applications but unless we go with an expensive brand, this may be a case with Stabilizers as well.

I am using a 2 KVA Servo stabilizer since last 5+ yrs. Output Set at 220 V +/- 1%, Voltage correction 25 V / Sec. Pretty happy with that. I think input range is 170 - 280 V.

One Output of that is fed in 1 KVA / 110 V step down driving my Denon AVR and Klipsch SW.

Rest 220V is fed to my Sansuis, Technics, CDP and TV etc. So far so good.

I am in market again for similar 2 KVA servo for my 2nd setup. Any other experiences will help me decide.
