Two weeks ago the Youtube interface has changed on my panasonic ST50 TV.
The main highlight of the new interface is the option to pair the TV with an Android device.
Once the pairing is done, I am able to play a video after it is selected from my Galaxy S. The selection is conveyed to Youtube, which sends the selected video directly to the paired TV.

It is to be noted that this is different from DLNA where the phone streams the video to the TV over the WLAN.

It is very convenient as now I can quickly type my favourite video name on my phone and ask youtube to directly send it to my TV. I am spared from typing the name of the video on the TV remote.

I checked the youtube interface of HX850. It is not yet updated by SONY to include the device pairing feature.

Thanks.

How did the update happen? Did you have to download the youtube app from viera market again?

This happenned without any firmware upgradation as far as I remember.
2 weeks ago , the telly asked me to sign-in again as the Youtube interface has changed.

Tried last night on my v20. No change, will try again today, perhaps signing out once. May also be with newer sets though.
