Hello All

I am on a hunt to setup my home theater for my living home (200 sqft). I experienced bose Smart Soundbar Ultra with subwoofer with Base Module 700 and surround speakers and Sony quad. I didn't like quad and the music was very thin when compared to Bose. The Bose will cost me ~2.3L INR. I am not sure if that price is worth it. I am trying to find something better or equivalent of the bose system. Please guide me on this. Thanks in Advance.

System selection Depends on the aesthetics you are looking for..
And anyway you can get much better for similar price.

Sound bars and such systems are not for music. I have the bose 900 and it's brilliant for movies but just okay for music. I have it wire connected to an SVS PB1000. Absolutely awesome for movies.

With bose you can buy in stages. Just the sound bar at first and then add on sub and surrounds.

At the outset fix your max budget. Then work on the which route you want to take, when you take a AVR + SPK+SUB the experience is more immersive. Off late soundbars offer HT exp also
Take maximum demos and then decide
which city are you in

Cheers

For that budget you will get a decent hometheatre if you’re okay with purchasing step by step.
To begin with, get a 9.2 channel AVR. It would cost around 1.3 lacs.
Get a pair of floorstanders for 1 lac.
You will have much better system for music and a great setup for movies.
Then add a subwoofer after saving a bit. Nice sub costs around 1 lac.
After this, you can go with center channel, surrounds and atmos speakers and thus your Home theatre is complete. Each addition gives you happiness.
But if you wanna purchase everything together, you will still get a good system.

Go with 7.2 avr . Cost you between 48 to 65.
Denon 1800 and 2800.
Audition speakers and subs choose which you like. Audion more first.
For 200 sq feet 1800 is sufficient.

I would say, if it is possible to squeeze in 4 atmos channel in the ceiling, it is good to do that.
