JVC NZ500 4K Laser projector first impressions review

Jvc nz500 started shipping in India from last week. the new jvc is smaller than the previous generation np5 and has a much better 80mm very sharp lens. it also improves contrast at all adl levels. Jvc always had great native contrast ratio, but lacked ANSI contrast. with the help of the new lens and HCOB ,the Ansi contrast is above 500:1. native contrast is 25000:1 after calibration with full laser and min zoom. more than 1800 plus calibrated lumens at D65 white point. very sharp lens with motorized control and memory. best Hdr tone mapping with frame adapt.
picture quality is spectacular with very deep black levels and very sharp image. easily the best projector in this price range for dedicated home theaters. only drawbacks are no 3d support, no 4k 120p support and little louder at high laser.

Can you please elaborate more about calibration of projector. Unfortunately I haven't found a single professional projector calibrator in India like the way calibrators available in USA. I am located 200kms away from Hyderabad and don't mind paying extra money for calibration.

Can you please elaborate more about calibration of projector. Unfortunately I haven't found a single professional projector calibrator in India like the way calibrators available in USA. I am located 200kms away from Hyderabad and don't mind paying extra money for calibration.

Using proper meters and methods to calibrate the projector . we can set the projector to accurate white balance and colors . which normally results in lower brightness than the stock mode, but will have better colors, contrast and accuracy.
