Installation For Yamaha Yht 2910.

Just bought yht 2910 need suggestions for installation as this is my first ht . i have a tv and a set top box.so guys help me out about the connection.

Yamaha manual should guide you well.
In case you have specific questions, FMs can easily suggest possible solutions.
It will help to know what TV, STB and other electronics you have (model numbers).

Basic Connections:

0. Read the manual

1. Place the correct speakers in their respective location. Center speaker in the center location, front right, front left, etc. Double check the + and - polarity of the cables.

2. If your Set top box has HDMI out, then use one HDMI cable to connect the set top box to the receiver. Use HDMI 1 port in your receiver for this. If there is no HDMI, use either optical or Coaxial and connect it to the respective port on your receiver. Refer to the manual for this, I will assume HDMI connectivity and move ahead.

3. Connect The receiver to the TV via another HDMI cable. Connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT port in the receiver and to any available HDMI port in your TV.

4. Select the HDMI1 | BD/DVD as your source in your receiver and HDMI source in your TV(the one used in pt3 above).

5. Double check all connections one more time and once satisfied, switch on the Set top box, Receiver and TV.

6. Select an HD channel and check sound out put from all speakers.

7. If you sailed through the above points successfully, run the YPAO sound optimization. Refer to the manual to run this correctly.
