Hi All,
I am setting up a small stereo system with a 2.1 or just a 2.0 as of now ...
I have rounded up Tsi400 -29k or NSF150 (20k) yamaha and for the amp the Denon PMA 720 (33k)or Yamah AS500 (27k) ... The budget is around INR 60 k ...and my room size is around 12 X 15 ft . .. I had taken a look at B& W 650 book shelves in Decibel/chennai cost 37 k ...was a bit too costly I felt for a book shelf..

My primary concern is of the difference between the amp and the 6 k diff is it worth it ??
Also please suggest floor standers if any ...I have autioned inYamahasqr and deciebl as of now
regards,
Sri

If you are ok with preowned stuff, a Chennai based member is selling his 2nd setup comprising Music Hall amp &CDP Amp & Epos Bookshelfs which is a super combo. Look for it on For Sale section or PM me if interested.

I will second Capt's suggestion. It is a very good sounding combination. You should listen to this before buying the Yamaha/Denon.

Thanks for Rajiv, Captn, Ram for supporting my sale thread...

Yes, this combo has to be heard at-least once before deciding on another system. No distress/Desperate sale, just anybody can have demo for comparing the other mid sized bookshelf speakers + amp + CD Player .

Myself/ others who have heard this found to be an perfectly matched system with one another. Having changed few systems in a short span this may be the longest one i had. Since i moved to FS( Thiel) in my living room forced to move this to my office. Now that i am into active system in my office putting up this combo for sale.

Regards

Hi, Srini, good luck on your sale. Great system to begin one's hifi journey and getting it from a reliable FM eliminates the risk factor. Would have grabbed the speakers if it were M12i, but very good system fora beginner.

a nicely integrated sytem is worth a lot more than individual performers... a listen to srini's system is a must. it might save you a lot of moolah and trouble to match the speakers that you have in mind...

for speakers in that range also listen to the bose 301's (under 20k) and the usher s520.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
