I was just browsing through quikr.com and found the following turntable offer in delhi.quikr.com

I am not aware of the dealer or authenticity of this deal. I liked the turntable model and thought of sharing the same in our forum.

It really looks yummy... but seller has quoted Rs.80K

Anyone who had seen/owned this model?

Technics Sp-25 is a good TT and this example looks to be in fine shape and has an SME (3009?) tonearm and nice plinth. The SP series was a professional series and considered better than even a SL1200.

Member Anilva owns the Sp-10 which is better than the Sp-25 and was used in radio stations a lot in the 80s. Here is a thread where he has recently overhauled his SP-10.

Jeyraj,
Was browsing on the phone and had missed the link to the ad you had posted. It is indeed an SME3009 and that too fitted with a brand new(as per Ad) Shure V15 cart. I recently heard this combo on a Garrard 401 at FinylVinyl's place and must say it was mind-blowing.

At 80k, slightly on the higher side but looks clean to me and I would consider it.

Hi,
This TT is a little brother of SP-10.Technics Sp series used in broadcasting like radio stations etc. This TT looks nice, little overpriced though.

Regards,
Sachin

Seriously overpriced. But condition looks stunning. Even an SP 10 MkII with plinth, outboard power supply and decent cartridge - all in good working condition - will not cost too much more than half that.
