Hi all - I have the following systems that is connected to my TV (TV Model: Samsung LA40C550)

1) Philips AV Reciever
2) Philips DVD Player
3) Hathway Set-top Box

Problem: Most of the times I see a thin line that passes from left corner of TV to Right corner of TV. This line is unable to make out when there is picture, however, it will be visible when there is a black screen.

I am wondering whether this is related to Signal Strength or due to some interference caused by other systems connected.

I guess this issue might not be related to Signl Strentgth, cos the quality of picture is good...

if ur devices no.1,2,3 r connected to ur tv though analogue ports( composite, component) by CHEAP/ordinary rca cables, then u will notice visible video interference(mayb lot of,particularly in direct proportion to tv size, the bigger tv more profound is effect) in ur tv & even audio hum(noise) in ur tv/external audio system speakers. The Problems are undoubtedly typical of cheap analogue connections, which losses signal strength, passing greater distance between playing device & display/tv & also is effected by external signal interference!

The solution in this case is switching altogether over to digital (HDMI,DVI,even cheap/ordinary cables would do,as digital doesn't suffer such typical issues) or getting the cleanest possible analogue input/connection from ur playing device to ur tv by getting High grade analogue cables from premium manufacturers like Monster/Belkin/Mx Electronics, etc

Ur issue is exactly same of me, when i faced this typical analogue problems with my previous cheap chinese component cables, until i replaced them by Supergrade component premium cables from Monster(imported from usa) & hence i found day & night difference in p.q on the tv w/o a single issue & add to this, this is exactly as i find on a pretty big 51inch tv(even superclean FHD signal over the monster components) .So on my hdmi & monster component ,i can vouch for the best p.q on the tv w/o any issue, which ploughed me b4,particularly in situation where every other a.v devices remaining exactly in the same setup.

So,this is all i can say from my experiences,..mayb this will serve u well!

This weekend I will try to shop for good analogue cables so that atleast for some days I can use that... thanks for the suggestion. Also, keeping my fingers crossed for Hathway HD services, so once for all I can switch to digital

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
