Is entry level Yamaha beats Rotel?

I can across below post, claimed that Yamaha entry level RX 496 is beyond Rotel. Just curious to now views from FM if anyone has similar experience as RX496 is very common model (has tunner in built)

There is nothing like this Bea's that or that beats this. Theres nothing like if it's expensive & has a big brand it's sounds awesome. It is what floats your boat. Simple

Yes its old post and comparison of used items. I posted this because I am getting same Yamaha RX496 model in old new box pack. When I googled to check reviews I found this post. This is still relevnt to understand comparison of then models and build brand specific image.
