Is Philips BDP7500B2/51 is the cheapest 3D bluray player?

Philips India also offer unreliable products, pathetic service and unsympathetic customer care attitude!

Did you watch any 3D demos and are satisfied?

All 3D demos I watched were junk and do not warrant buying any 3D items at the moment..

Yes, but don't waste your money on...

...Philips = Made in China POS, these days. Don't waste your money buying Philips products. I have a Philips DVD recorder that's lying around waiting to be repaired. It's remote went bye-bye soon after the 1 year mark and later the DVD recorder went on the blink with a DVD stuck in it, no less.

Philips never supported the product properly. The first firmware update made for that recorder rendered the Mini DV input useless. I bought it so that I could transfer my Mini DV cassettes to DVD, so you can see just how useful it was. Subsequent firmware updates did nothing to correct the situation.

Only LCD service was better for me last year.

I find it was decent..in fact I felt they tried to cheat you by first giving inferior product...and then replaced with original when you caught them conveniently saying sorry!!

I always want to compare CE service with It hardware service! Easy replacements ,almost no questions asked ,door pickups and drops for small items like Harddrives and WD ..and in case on non availability of componants they replace it with higher specs!

Recently heard a story - I mac screen developed dead pixles ( 1 sq cm patch) in the last fortnight of 4 year extended warentee period.Orignal price was around 1.3 Lack..as screen was not available for replacement they repaced the LAPTOP with latest specs laptop with similar price and far far better specs. Also an apology was given by company ,person was given choice to get downgraded models or upgraded models wth paying the difference. This all happens with Apple India!!

Now compare this with Philips service or any other CE service.

If you want to waste Rs.18000/- then go for the Philips product because Philips is a sad story of failure.............8-((

Other than the Philips, the cheapest 3D alternative would then be Sony's BDP-S470 at approx 20K.
