Hi all,

I'm planning to buy a home theater system with Onkyo S3300 speaker/receiver and a BD player.

On going through all the candidates I've decided to buy Samsung BD C-5500 as it fits my budget and I've heard that it plays most mkv/xvid/divx and supports NTFS formatted HDD.

But now I'm doubting my decision as while going to the Amazon listing of C5500 I found some poor reviews. Some people are complaining of some bugs in the player.

Can you guys please shed some light on this? Shall I go on an purchase C5500 or should I look for some other players in the same price range?

Thanks in advance.

Exactly in the same position. I have almost finalized the Onkyo 3300 as the HT and wondering which player to buy ? Any suggestions under 10K. Would appreciate if you can list the main features available and the main features missing in he device.

TIA.

I am also in the same boat. After a lot of research I sort listed my choice between Onkyo 3300 & Denon AVR 1311. I took audition of both and then finalized to buy Onkyo-3300 and Sony 370. It is the best budget Player, who can play MKV, MPEG4, MP4, AVCHD.
