Hi,

I am from Lucknow and Reliance Digital here keeps only Onkyo S3300 & Yamaha YHT-196. Is the Onkyo S3300 a wise choice at this time? How future proof will it be as far as connectivity is concerned, particularly audio outputs?

yah....grab it at 18k......its good no doubt...they are just cont marketing..like 3300,3400,now 3500 with some little extras again and again....u will be happy with 3300..present 3400 market rate is 27k......so u can buy 3300 at 18k...
196 is also good but with some hd audio like dtshdma non decoding.........

Its a good one. Not huge difference between 3300 and 3400 or 3500.

Confirm its not a demo item
Check about warranty and free installation

Even Rs.20K is not that bad.

they keep in showroom for demo purpose to customers...thats a demo item..
if confirmed its a demo item..buy it ..but with 12k........negotiate with him..
demo item with 12k is a good deal..
but if you are against buying demo item..dont buy..

I would suggest to get demo item at maximum discount. Major difference between the series are
3300 - 3400 -> Addition of extra Hdmi ports in 3400
3400 - 3500 -> Addition of USB port in 3500.
Some of our forum members got 3500 for 26K and 3400 current rate will be around 24-22K.
So u can start from 18K for a new one in my opinion.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
