Is there any possibility of watching 3d movies with the normal lcd tv. Any had experience of watching movies downloaded from torrentz and watching. Please let us know about the experienvce and wat all need to be done.

It uses Red & Blue colored glasses.I have enjoyed a clip from monster vs aliens using supplied glasses on Philips 5609 non 3D LCD.

i recently watched on a tv program, that they have a devise which can be fitted to any tv which can convert the normal tv to a 3d tv. a doctor has invented it. i can't remember on which tv channel i watched it. it was very recently.

They have a device, which takes 3D signal and convert to 720p60. HDTV's accept that refresh rate and its just like a normal signal to them, with alternate frames being left/right. The 3D VIP device has built in IR/RF transreceiver to control the 3d glasses. you have to use their glasses only because only those work at 60Hz.
The user reviews reported some flicker at 60 hz, They reduced it by reducing the brightness. Some people noticed it, for some it was unbearable. Another issue with LCD could be cross-talk. If your LCD panels are not very fast (motion lag) you may end up with cross-talk.
With two glasses and the 3d device, it comes to about $700. Almost close to the price of 3D tv here. But it does provide an option for those who seek it.
