Do you see this on any other slides ? I mean of different color or particularly on white and grey ? Is it Panasonic / LG / Samsung ?

Not sure , I think color banding will be in black horizontal/vertical bars but for me it's in green colour . Is this the banding issue

I see only on white and grey and I don't see it on any other colour slide. This is samsung f5500 model

It's difficult from pics..better call the company and ask for replacement ...do take proper pictures ..u never know if that lines go away ...as company will ask for pictures ..

A technician from Samsung came to my home and he confirmed its banding issue and its a problem with the panel, he collected the documents(Bill and my Bank Acc) and said that they will replace the tv (if available) or return the amount to my bank Acc but nothing seems to be happening till now.

Please let me know the process in reaching the Samsung Higher Authorities to get the set replacement and refund of amount as the intermediate service dealers are playing cheap tricks and delaying the process further...

Plz help guyzzz......

Call Samsung customer care and let them know of this issue.

Or if you already have a complain number, ask them to let your know of it's current status.

Thanks a lot guys for your help in showing the way to take my complaint to samsung authorities , Today I have received cheque from Samsung for the defective Plasma F5500 tv. I have lost faith in purchasing tv from samsung as I read more complaints on TV panel on their Face book page which hardly lasting for 1.5 to 2 yrs from the date of purchase.

Trusting Samsung I have sold out my good old CRT TV, now I am regretting with no TV @home

I have to start my search again for another TV, please suggest if any.

Don't loose faith in Samsung, it can happen to any product. Look at the F5500 thread, so many users have bought the same and are happy with it. At times these things do happen that is why it is good to go for extended warranty.

My 2 days old TV costing 2 lakhs turned up with an issue and Samsung replaced the same with a new set. So these things do happen. If you don't want to buy samsung product then you can go for Panasonic as they have some good models you can look at.
Personally in spite of the issues i had with Samsung, i am happy with their policies and procedures be it buyback or DOA replacement. Plus now i know how their system works so it is an added advantage for me in case i have any issues as i know whom to approach to get the job done.

That's really good news to know the escalation matrix to get the job done, it would be great if you can post those details whom to contact so that others who are facing similar issue can approach them directly for faster resolution.
