I think I will buy this system (JBL Cinema BD100) for my Bedroom!

However, I've never tested these speakers. In case, anyone has any experience with this system, then do share your thoughts!

I believe you cannot go wrong with JBL/Harmon; moreover this system provides an excellent Blue ray receiver.

So Guys do share your thoughts.

It isn't worth it, and no : they dont make the kickass audio products you are expecting them too.
The Driver's aren't the powerful, and the fact, it doesn't include a receiver is like making the system handicapped for use. You are better off with Onkyo 3500/3400 or Denon 1312xp or Yamaha YHT-296, or to say better, go for a 2nd hand Amp. and Buy Seperates. This system "might" be worth at half its cost.

Thanks all for your helpful replies!

Although any small HT would be fine for my bedroom, as it is not very large; however, I will go for an overkill with something like Yamaha YTH-196.

What's your opinion guys?

Room Size?
And what I believe is that an HT is a long term investment for most people, and hence if you spend 40,000, you should buy something VFM, and hence the combo. It is great as an HT, and you will be most satisfied.

Thanks!

I tested various HTs today and found JBL not to be that good.....Sony were way better in sound quality especially 340!

The best in class sound was Bose, simply awesome!

However, I bought Yamaha YHT-196 from Croma which has far better sound output than any of the Sonys, Philips, LGs (LG is surprisingly excellent) etc.!!

YHT-196 rocked Croma, while others were frail in front of it; moreover, I got a Philips 2900 Blue-ray player free! :)

This deal by Croma beats JBL by price and quality by miles!

Recently I had a demo of JBL BD100, final price Rs 23k. Myself was shocked once i saw the back panel, only 1 HDMI out with ARC, where as searched in google images show 1 out + 2 HDMI ports, may be they are dumping the stock in the market, this same product is bundled with a 50" Non 3d plasma by a chain of store:(

I Love Tapatalk on my IPhone

See, not demotivating you, but they might have set all other sets in a not so good setup, and hence the sound and The YHT-196 is outdated, but if it fulfills your needs then go with it.

Yes it suites my requirement, they were keen on selling Sony to me; however, I liked YHT-196 better!

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
