Hi there,

I'm really interested in buying this product, unfortunately I couldn't find any reviews online anywhere. Following are the specs:

Audio Specifications
Total Output Power 300W RMS (20% THD)
Input Sensitivity 250mV/46k ohms
Signal to Noise Ration 80dB
Dynamic Range 80dB
THD+N at 1W output (20Hz~20kHz): 0.5%
Frequency Response 1W (3dB): 20Hz 20kHz
System Specifications
Power Requirement 100 240V AC, 50/60Hz
Power Consumption (Full Power/Idle) 90W
Satellite Speaker Specifications
Satellite Midrange Transducer 2-1/2" (63.5mm)
Subwoofer Specifications
Subwoofer Low-Frequncy Transducer 5-1/4" (133mm)
Speaker Specifications
Speaker Midrange Transducer 2-1/2" (63.5mm)

The reasons I want to buy this one are:
1) The price. I find it too good for a JBL.
2) The body. It's not too 'big' like the other ones in the market. Even the sub-woofer ain't that bulky.
3) The Blu-ray player and built-in amp are further space saving.

The reasons why i'm doubtful though are:
1) The sound output (300 Watts). My room is normal size, however, I did have a JBL before and I'm a bit doubtful about the JBL satellite speakers quality. I doubt it will give me the desired effect!

Please help me out guys.....Thanks

All I can say is this is a terrible system. (300 W at 20% THD  ).
And I have actually heard it as well...the Sony home theatre package sounded much better than this.
Stay miles away from this and also from Sony/LG/Philips/Samsung etc

You will be much better served with Onkyo 3500/Denon 1312XP/Yamaha 296/198 packages. though the blu ray player has to be purchased separately

I would suggest to go for seperates and build your dream system slowly (if budget isn't a constraint), pls stay from HTiBs, i know they can be tempting but are not worth it in my opinion. Walk into a denon/yamaha/onkyo.. etc showroom in your location, audition the products of your interest and buy what pleases you.

I have auditioned the system you've mentioned, in a reliance outlet and IMHO it sounded terrible.

What about inputs? Does the system have HDMI-In (at least one), coaxial/optical inputs, component video-in, composite video-in, etc.? If not, run away as if a lion/tiger/hyena (pick your own predator) is chasing you.

Plus as stated above, the specs are not promising enough. What is the cost, by the way?

Till now while " inflating " the specs these HTIBs used to give at 10% THD - JBL broke the barrier

Sad to see something from Harman Stable where Harmon Kardon amps were very conservatively rated and many cases HK 40 watters was far superior and punchy than competitors 100 watter!

^^ Believe me, it sounds terrible..Its even worse than Sony HT packages.
Forget about features and connections, this sudn't be considered on the basis of sound alone.

If the OP wants to buy HT package/HTIB, Only 3500 is the best in 25K range.
In the 30K range, we have Yamaha 296/298, Onkyo 3505 and Denon 1312XP.
Also, he needs to buy a separate blu ray player which should be considered in the budget.
Decide based on the budget and the options mentioned above.

Or, you can go the recommended way of buying separate AVR and a pair of speakers to start with ...and then build the complete HT based on your budget, interest etc.
I started with buying a soundbar and thanks to this forum...now I am going the route of separate AVR and speakers. I would say it depends on your interest level and how much quality you expect. Demo the HT systems mentioned above from Onkyo/Yamaha/Denon and if you are completely satisfied with them, you can go with any of those. I think most people who are not very particular about audio will be satisfied with these systems.
Otherwise, look for separate AVR and better quality speakers.
