Looks tempting. Will check with the JBL dealers in Mumbai if there are plans for these AVRs to come or have they already come to India.

Heard the same but over another thread it is rumored that the costs will be as good as Marantz AVRs. Let wait and hope for the best.

is what a dealer told me. Seems expensive, 5-channel is 75k for just 4K and 1L for 8K, 7 channel is 1.5 and 2, 9 channel is 2.5

Yes indeed expensive. Marantz is a bit less and can be more less if a good deal is done.

Denon, Onkyo, Marantz, Pioneer, Integra are all less. Feature wise also I think JBL is quite light. Plus OPI have Dirac license included which saves $350

Agree, was looking at the MA9109 which is 9 channels, dont see expandability of adding external amp to make it 11.2. like we see in Cinema 50

Could also be the sticker price. JBL stuff is almost always cheaper here than US prices

Very expensive indeed, ma310 retails for $400 in the us so here they want $890, more than double.

It’s also way more expensive in INR at 75k than any other brand with only 4K, and it’s only 60W per channel FTC. Denon 550BT was 58K at 65W, Onkyo is 63k at 80W per channel. There’s also no Dolby Atmos unlike the Onkyo, and I saw the total power supply is just 200W which is pretty pathetic

The India pricing seems atrocious as always. INR equivalent of US $ price of MA9100 is just INR 135,000 (USD 1,600). How does this translate to INR 250,000 ?
Pre outs seem missing from the JBL higher models as well. What is surprising is the interiors of the 9.2 AVR- seems sparse and clean:

JBL AVRs are now apparently available. Pricing sadly is as expected

That means their entry level 5 channel 4K is 75k, 5 channel 8K is 1L, and cheapest 7 channel is 1.5L.
