Hello All,

I'm planning to buy a good 12" subwoofer.
I have shortlisted these.

1.
JBl stage A120p

2.
Bic America H100 II

Not able to finalize
Any help would be appreciated!

I used the BIC America H100ii for a while and it is much better than the JBL A120p

Read the BIC America Owners Thread over this site.

You can compare the specs and decide. If you can audition it will be more better.

All the best!

Thanks, heard that BIC is famous for boomy base. What I'm looking for is tight/punchy/clean bass.
Which one will give me that

JBL.. anytime.. will give exactly what you are looking for.
I have installed the 120 model in a couple of home theatres..
I would rate it as one of the best subs under 50k.
Don't go by the specs..

And if you can extend your budget then look for pro audio subwoofers.. they are super tight, clean and punchy..
Have installed Pro audio subs in a few home theatres too..

Tight Bass you will get only in SEALED subwoofers. I traded up from BIC H100ii to PL 200 (series 1) and then now with SVS SB1000

You can refer to my reviews listed for these subs....

Just because I'm looking for 12 inch sub

The performance of the HTS10 is not bad at all, if you are fixed to get a 12 inch sub, you can look at the HTS12 but it will cost more than 50k.

My suggestion is to audition and check where possible and take a call.

Now I'm confused as both got 50-50 votes..
Completely agree with @prateekatasniya as he has a lot of experience & i have heard this sub personally which did a good job. Bic has lot of support issues as far as what i have read, beware of that before pulling the trigger.
Closed subs or pro subs are surely much cleaner and sound tighter than the rest. But the cost increases accordingly. You should try the Polk series as mentioned by FM's coz they do a great job too.
The best is audition them if possible & pick what u like the best.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
