Guys, I received a Stanton 500 cartridge with a stylus as part of my Lenco purchase. Today, I noticed that the stylus was slightly bent, leaving me with two choices: either replace the stylus or go with a new cartridge (I have been offered a Nagaoka MP 100).
For the first option, I reached out to Jico, and they provided me with three potential replacements. However, they mentioned that these options might fit but are not direct replacements, suggesting a close fit rather than a guaranteed match.
So, to the experts here, my dilemma is that I don’t want to spend much on hi-fi cartridges at this point. I’d like to stick to a $100 budget at most. What would be the better option—going for the Jico replacement or choosing a cartridge in the $100 range?
If going with Jico, would there be a noticeable difference between nude and non-nude styluses?
Thank you!
