jio-hotstar - Audio 5.1 Issues.

Just logged in the account with a new welcome message - to check few new programs in peacock and paramount.

A lot of them display as available in 5.1 but when playing , most of them are in Stereo only.

Using Firestick - hooked to AVR in direct mode. Firestick is in Best Available mode.
- Cleared cache and Data for the app too.

Is this normal or some setting issues for 5.1 out ?

If you have already Disney hotstar premium 4k than able to play 5.1 & 7.1 too, yesterday I watched alien romolus with 4k & DD+ + DDSURROUND (Nvidia shield tv pro & denon avr1500h).

Hi,

I too use a Firestick connected to the AVR (HDMI). Avatar, Alien Romulus are in Atmos besides other select titles.

Movies like Avengers, Cars etc are in 5.1 and rest content is 2.0 Dolby Digital.

Jio Cinema had this known issue since it came and now with takeover of Disney Hotstar I assume it will be the same thing for most content unless it really gets updated.

Usually, its the older content which is 2.0 which I see over Netflix or Prime.

Audio settings on firestick is set at Best Available.
