Hello Everyone,

I want to buy the best possible TV within my price range.
I have selected the following LED TV's, but I am confused as to which one should I opt for.

Shortlisted TVs:
Sony Bravia KDL-40W900A
Samsung UA40F6400AR
LG 42LA6910
Sony Bravia KDL-42W850A

I need your help and suggestions to decide which one would be right choice.
Above list is just mine little research.
If you have any better suggestions in similar price range, please post here.

Following are my requirements:
Viewing Angle.
Picture Quality.
Lag should be minimal while viewing fast motion scenes and while playing games.
Should be able to play almost all formats through USB Flash Drive.
Good SD To HD Upscaler.
Built in Wifi.
Panel Life.
Durability.
Service Quality.
Good 3D Viewing experience.

I have the 47w850a and feature set should be same for 42inch.

3D is passive and very good, have watched Avatar Madagascar Nut Job ...

YouTube app vimeo app and Ted the ones I use are great. YouTube pairing is best and if u have a smartphone the TV can be easily controlled by it.

Great viewing angles and also plays all format via USB (1tb hdd I have) WiFi works perfectly I use screen mirroring on my phone and tablet so its great.

the best led tv is w9 series only.you can blindly buy it.Me using it for about a year gr8 tv.pq is the best for leds.3d awesome.if you buy you wont regret.awesome models.there is no enhancement model for w900 this year so that itself shows its qulaity.

Price I paid for 47w850a is 87k in Girias as my friend knew someone (you could get for 90k I think), I was given 2 demo TVs (they replaced both) and it is running perfectly.

w900a is perfect and would say a little better than w850a for sure but guess it is around 10k costlier.

I had a query regarding the surfing experience with Sony TVs. apparently the samsung and LG will accept a wireless keyboard, but the Sony wont.. Also, the LG comes with a smart remote that has a mousewheel and motion function, while the Samsung comes with a remote that has tracking pad. Isn't it cumbersome operating the internet on the sony with only a standard remote with 4 directional buttons?

If you have an android phone then the TV sideview app helps surfing very easy. It has all input methods like keyboard mouse and everything and I use it to browse and find no issues.

Only complaint I have is how slow the browser is.

Though having wireless keyboard support would have been really good.

I have the LG 47LA6910, i am using the magic remote as my default & it is quite handy, especially while watching movies through usb, you just aim the cursor on timeline of the screen with the magic remote to go further or backwards. I have not completely explored the Internet, but with a good wifi connection it works without any issues.

Hi ,

I am confused between LG 42LA6300 and Sony KDL-W900A. Both are almost in the same price range. I will be using it mainly for :

Gaming , 3D movies , HD Movies.

So far my conclusion is ... Pros for Sony :
- Triluminous display. Gives better colors to the screen. Better blacks. Overall better picture quality, which is a big plus. :clapping:
- Minimalist design.

Pros of LG :
- Dual play :licklips:
- 2" extra screen estate.
- Mouse remote
- IPS screen
-Passive 3D

I am stuck in thoughts because Sony has this awesome picture quality, but LG has this IPS display , has lil extra screen and DUAL play, Passive 3d

Dont want to loose awesome picture quality but kinda greedy for that 2" screen , Passive 3D and Dual play. Confused!! Please help

@Manik1607 - Sony KDL-W900A has the least Input Lag of 19 ms If I recall correctly. If FPS games are your likes, then consider Sony 900A
@aleemscorpio - The difference is the extra two inches and minus 100Hz Panel Refresh Rate. 900A has 200Hz Panel and 900B has 100Hz panel. Its said that difference between 100Hz panel and 200Hz Panel is very minimal but between 50 and 100, its leagues apart. Both has the same triluminous panel. 900B has a build in camera and comes with free one flick remote.
