Kindle Battery

I am posting this on behalf of a friend .. he wants to know how one changes the battery on a kindle .. the model he has is 7th generation Kindle light .. would appreciate some insights … thank you …

This is going to be a tough job & will require specialised tools + a lot of patience

This is not the exact model - but the process will be more or less the same. I have in the past done this with iPods to increase the memory/battery & it is never a fun job.

Its hard. Better to trade in if that option is available.

It's very fiddly to open (which is the hardest part of the whole process)

I'm told that DIY is very fiddly for Kindle battery replacement.

Amazon offers service for out of warranty Kindles through CTDI. It would be worth checking with them how much it will cost for a battery replacement.

They have service centers in many towns, so your friend might even be able to take it in to check with them.
