True but there is a lot of amateur 3D content that you can find on the Internet ( Not to be confused with "pirated") that are short but have good 3D depth and poputs too.

Talk about the Hi bitrate Hi-Def content first. Is that still widespread? NO. But that hasn't stopped people from buying HDTV's. and I don't see much complaints anyways.

As of now, the main source for 3D is the movies on Bluray. Only few channels shoot 3D, that too in sports. In my opinion, 3D will remain niche, restricted to movies and sports television may be. Don't think it will ever make it to regular tv, unless there is a way to view without glasses. Can't imagine people will put on glasses to see news/daily soaps etc.

Well, i do agree that there is a lack of 3D content as per now but we can expect a increase in same in time to come.
Lack of 3D content was also a issue with me when I was about to get my 3D TV and then at last I got my LG 3D Tv with fingers crossed.
I am happy with the PQ of my TV and also the 2D-3D conversion can be a good thing which can allow you to experience 2D content in 3D.

i have a senior friend crying after 3d tv purchase,no content

some people paid like 30 on illegal hdds with movies

only choice is,
save and shave 1400Rs,buy 1 bluray disc in a quarter or if you are rich say 15days.
to celebrate 3d
Dont rely on 2d to 3d,2d to 3d is not up to the mark

I would just like to comment about the 2d to 3d conversion here. I got a LG 3D TV few days back and 2d to 3d conversion in it is just too good.
I am not sure about the other brands but I am pleased with mine LG one.

The channels broadcasted in India are not 3D-supplemented. But that does not necessarily mean that finding 3D content will be difficult. I have an LG Cinema LM8600 Smart 3D TV and its Universal Search feature makes finding 3D content a breeze. Plus, it has this excellent 2D to 3D conversion with optimum Depth control to get the best 3D viewing experience.

as the user said it is just simulated..depth levels are not very impressive.
He said may amaze the kids but not person who has seen real 3d movie.
obviously it will be like mono to stereo
