Hi guys,

I am building a new pc, I imported most of the stuff from usa, but a few components, the cabinet, monitor, psu, processor is still remaining. .wondering whether it is worth going to Lamington for it or will I get similar prices online? As of now I know 2 sites which are reliable. .flipkart and primeabgb. . While flipkart obviously is cheaper primeabgb has better prices..

Mumbai fms please respond..

What's the difference between cheaper and better price?
You can check out the rates at other sites also for comparison:

smcinternational.in
techshop.in
theitdepot.in

Hi,
Almost all products are serviced /replaced by respective manufacturers at there own service center but still I feel going to Lamington Road is better option.Lot of shops to visit and can atleast have a hands on comparison and discussion with the vendor on the spot .
Primeabgb and IT wares.com has shop there u can call them up for inquires, few other like Modera and Hardtrac are some shops which I have purchased earlier.

what is ur location?
if not looking for very fancy or AV style cabinet lam rd is good..
sI am a big fan of lam rd but currently find some better online deals..also time is an issue

Now a days, online price is cheaper than street price.Even if you check HDD price,Lamington Rd.is not offering much discount. With some coupons , ebay deals can come with better price.I got my 1 TB HDD similarly.

In vashi we have a decent "market" ie no of shops located at one place.rates are good sometimes comparable to lam rd. Now i do not visit lam rd fot small purchases.btw locate suc market nearby, maybe other fm can help

@koushikp: For your location the best stuff you can get is at shops near Andheri Station East.No highend stuff there .I think i am late in replying since you are visiting today itself.Primeadgb will have Nzxt series cabinet .I will prefer Coolmaster PSU (720w)either than basic PSU available with NZXT.

Enjoy Shopping.

I've had good experiences with buying from primeabgb online. Their brick & mortar shop is in Lamington Road so their prices are more or less in line what you can expect with others in Lam. Rd.
Shopping @ Lam.Rd. is no fun at all for me. Distance, walk, search, sweat...

For folks living near and @ Andheri. In the West, opposite the Navrang theatre [close to the train station], there is a row of shops selling computer peripherals et al. Good prices too.

Cassette-world is said to be the oldest shop & sometimes give better price.

Finally went to Lamington Road on Saturday and bought everything from primeabgb.. apart from the Hales of parking and pay in cash and running to the atms I love being there actually. . Specially for the small items which are so widely available and for cheap. .

Btw.. When u go to primeabgb physically in many items their quoted prices are lower than the website.. Not much, just 3-5% range. . But they all add up, also many owns which are not on the website are available when you go there. .

I bought most of my stuff (for the PC I am building now) from Sunrise computers, Vashi. Quite satisfied with their pricing.

Agree. The Vashi market is now quite developed and I too do not find it worth visiting Lam Rd for buying for personal use. A saving of 400-500 rupees is not worth it, considering the amount of money and time spent on travelling.
Coincidently, me too bought my PC from Sunrise computers :)

So unless buying in bulk or looking for some hard to find part, its not worthwhile travelling to Lamington road.
