for cooler places like bangalore there are variety of remote controlled coolers i have spotted on markets
online dealers selling vox coolers
seen a DAPIC model in sproad in 5k .
Humidity control , temp (control ? ) , swing motion etc were very good features with remote .
they consume like a FAN in 100w range

best thing about thse are they are more silent than direct fan types as they have blower inside
