LCD/LED for 50k

Hi, looking for a 42" LED (or LCD) for upto 50k (can't go further).

Will be used mainly for Tata Sky HD, and gaming console. Hence should be Full HD.

Don't want 3D or Smart TV, don't think I'll be using those. Any advice?

New 2013 TVs are being introduced shortly. Why not wait for a couple of months more?

LG LM4600 or 5400. Also look for Toshiba LEDs. They should be available in your budget.

What about plasma? I'm not updated with the technology, but does Image Retention still exist? Does one need to take regular measure to prevent it?

Plasma will any day give you better picture, natural colours, zero lag/response time, etc. but you have to be careful with image retention issue especially in the initial 200 hours. I am a period plasma owner for last 8 months and have no image retention issues.

EDIT: Just now noticed the 43" one But still 3.4K is a good discount.

Congrats..........good choice!!! just wanted to know if you had compared the F4900 to Panasonic X50, was curious to know how they compared.
