LED TV 42 inch - Budget 50k

Guys I am looking to buy a LED.
Screen Size - 42-40 inch.
Full HD.
Budget 50k Max.
Buying in delhi- location Lajpat Nagar.
Kindly advise. Going to buy it today evening.
Preference given to Sony if its in the desired budget.

Samsung 40" basic would be around 52k while sony atleast 55k. Samsung has better media playing capabilities from the pen drive.

I went with LG 42LN5710. Cost was around 55k without the remote.

Is it a good enough purchase??

One thing I wanted to ask was do we have to buy wall mount on our own or does it comes with TV itself?

Its good tv... Wall mount comes with tv... I am not sure what do u mean by w/o remote... u get what comes inside the tv box .. Ensure dealer is not sending u a demo piece.

I meant the magic remote thingy.

I bought it from showroom and He gave me the ensurance that it will not be a demo piece.

Tomorrow LG guy will come for the installation, I will double check it.

Dealers/showroom people will always tell you that it will be a fresh piece. Don't rely on that.

Magic remote is not a part of the package with this TV.

To check usage hours go to Setting>Support>Product/Service info>Used Time

After lots of show room visits and price negotiations I have finally purchased LG LN5710. The dealer being known to us, got it for 53K with normal remote and wall mount. Got new set with mfg date of 1 aug and almost nil usage hours. TV was supplied and installed next day. My home Wifi was connected in a breeze.

Impressed with LG service. The technician did his job with lots of smile and explained me all features in detail.

As per him the cost of additional warranty is 7500 per annum. I think too much.

Wondering if I should purchase magic remote or not? How much it costs and what are advantages?

PQ is great and I am loving it. It is at par with my two year old 40 inches Panasonic plasma.

It costs around 6K and there is not much usage. I have never used the normal remote. Only advantage of the magic remote is typing and voice recognition. You dont need to use your tv's remote a lot if you spend most of the time watching TV via ST box.
