Hi All,
Which wall mount is better? Fixed one of Swivel? I am worried if the Swivel one breaks, the TV may fall down.

Also does anyone know a better deal for wall mount for 43 inch LG LED? I don't want to pay extra to LG? :D

Thanks in advance!

LG is giving free flexi mount which is of extremely high quality free these days as part of the promotions ping on. The install guys should bring it along with them.

I too got it just recently with my LG 49 inch led.

Lol I have heard or seen wall mounts breaking, maybe in the olden days when tv's use to weigh considerably more. Recent lcd tv are light and a chinese wall mount won't break. Lg wont provide a wall mount for said Tv if it cannot hold its weight. Flexi is better since it provides a wiggle room to access ports behind or underneath Tv

There's actually much more chance of the TV falling because the mount was not properly installed on the wall. I remember reading about someone who had mounted their TV on the fireplace mantlepiece and the mantlepiece itself fell off the wall. But even these incidents are quite rare.

I think your concern is not a big one. Swivel is far more versatile. Especially remember that for panels that are not OLEDs or IPS, viewing the TV from an angle significantly diminishes the picture quality and contrast and colors. See rtings reviews and you will get an idea.

So in those cases, being able to swivel the TV will really help with a good viewing experience.

Generally even non branded mounts have good weight capacity and it depends upon size. say for a 40 incher, which weighs around 15kg, mount will have capacity of almost double the load provided it gets mounted correctly and with good quality fasteners/screws.

Just don't go for very cheapo mounts which may be not be properly welded.
I have a very old sony plasma (30kg without external speakers) which is wall mounted with no issues.
