Hello All,

I had look into LG 42PN4500 Plasma, in direct comparison against Samsung 43PS4900 Plasma.

My views: Almost both sets have very good picture reproduction; except that LG Plasma has  (Single HDMI) port.
Samsung Plasma has 3D Effect...
Both Plasmas are 2013 model. Sound are also gud when compared to other basic LEDS in that range.
But PQ is simply uncomparable against LEDS; eventhough sets are just 720p resolution based (1024*768).

Price: LG -36K; Samsung -44K

Anybody any reviews about above LG Plasma.
Also, i would like to know; if non-active hdmi switches work with HD-STBs ?...

for Plasma please stick with Samsung / Panasonic. LG make good LED tv's but are not upto the mark compared with competition. Between Samsung and Panasonic there are models to suit every budget.

For 40k budget, I would go with Samsung 43F4900.............best value for money!!!

There is one review on cnet - they trashed this LG & Panny X50? (lowest model) - and were showering praises on the Sammy 4900.

Extended warranty:
LG also allows you to by extended warranty; Sammy doesn't on plasma, they do only for LCD/LED.

can you provide CNET LINK

which is why I would suggest the F4900 over the X50..............with your budget, I would really go with samsung. They make very good entry level budget plasmas. It's hard to beat the F4900 in terms of overall performance vs price.

If you can extend budget, then there are other options.

thnkx all for your contributions.
My budget is strictly around max 43K. in bangalore.
The reason for this...i,am not for fancy 3D Stuff, or some crazy smart feature.
I would like to plain simple and normal TV to play both SD and HD channels.

I guess. i might go with Sammy 4900. and anybody knows how to check no. of hours on sammy plasma.; Intention is not to get display piece.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
