Hello, I am Vidhyadhar, New to this forum. Just wanted to Say hello and post the problem I have. If any one has solution or suggestions that would be great.
Problem: I have LG 42LE5300. Recently my kids gave a water treatment wiped the screen with water hand and this has resulted in "exactly" 50% of the screen blackedout. Called the LG Service team and they came looked at and said, need to replace the LED screen which costs about Rs 25K + Servicing charges. I am trying to search for cheaper solutions. Any suggestions or solutions that can help would be great!

Screen is the most delicate unlike CRT & costliest part of any flat screen. You can have 2nd opinion from other local repair shop and if they say the same thing then there is no alternative than to replace.
