LG 47 LW5700 from dubai with warranty in India

Hi I came across this site Online Electronics Shopping in Dubai at Discounted Prices. They are shipping TV to India and are offering international warranty. I am interested in purchasing 47 inch LG LW5700 online and getting it delivered when my friend is traveling back to india.

Will the airline allow to bring a 47" TV.

Kindly check with LG India. They might not accept International Warranty.

Not much dived in checking warranty issues and OP is telling he is getting with Int.warranty.

Emirates is allowing 55"LED(samsung) without any extra cost provided you should not have any other check in luggage... So 47" should not be an problem..However check the package size of 55"LED samsung with 47" LG and hope it should be less.

I will check with LG India; How is the pricing? around 78K with bD Player, 10 nos glasses, wall mount, titles, magic remote etc

Does 78K includes import duties as well?

If not, add it and then do a comaprison with Indian prices. You may need to pay around 30% of the amount you paid to TV towards import duties.

1) Cost: May work out only if you dont pay customs duty.
2) Breakages: For larger TV, the risk of breakages are also higher. In another thread a member discovered breakage in transit for a large TV and hoping he gets replacement (http://www.hifivision.com/televisio...samsung-plasma-3d-ps51d550-28.html#post263763)
3) Warranty: I presume you dont get replacement warranty in India if you buy your TV outside India.
