Hi guys, anybody know more details and review about LG's 47LK952? It's available at a very good price of ~60k at bangalore! reviews would be helpful

Hey, I had a demo of this model and it is awesome for the price.
Though having a bit a skin on it being an LCD...the screen looks big enough. I did not find much difference between this LCD and the LG LED atleast in the showroom when I had changed the settings in both of them. Passive 3D is good though 3D depth remains almost identical in both passive and active systems.

If you have a limited budget, still want a big screen..then this is your model. Other important specs like 2ms response time, Full HD, 4 glasses free etc are all high end features for an LCD you get in this piece.

he he I was a 51d550 fan too..but after the price splurge it's kinda expensive - 64k for TV itself :( Then again 4k damage for DVR-DTH and again 2k for another pair of glasses..this is making me weary.. Then again 47LK952 is also out of stock with many dealers :( Meanwhile one dealer told that a LG 50PZ550 is available ( 57k).The TV is a steal for money but comes only with a single pair of glasses. But, another pair is nowhere available in India :( (ebay global costs 9k for a pair! ).So, in a total confusion :D

Are you not getting 2 pairs of free glasses? or do you need more glasses than the offered 2 glasses? In all the cases, for LG TV you need a optical digital input accepted audio system, as LGs wont have a 3.5mm out port. Sammys offer both 3.5mm out as well as digital optical out which was also a consideration for me.

If you go for LG 50PZ550, do check the version of the AG250 glasses, which should be "0.64" (instead of "0.63" which has sync issues, google for more info on this)

well, for me audio port is not a problem.either i use a DTH or a Blu Ray player,i can pass the audio to my hifi through an audio port from them directly (not through TV).And yes, the LG dealers here are giving only 1 pair of glasses..If they gave 2 I would have been a owner of 50pz550 3 weeks back :P (had finalized at 57k). Dealers are not even willing to arrange for an extra pair at extra cost :(

When you are paying 60k don't mind another 5k or more. 51D550 is amazing value for money and one of the best 3dtv's around and it has many features found in high end tv's.

LG India website doesn't have the details yet. But, LG Bangalore Warehouse has confirmed ,it has got the stocks.(Not yet updated the list with dealers).
There were 2 models released in Europe. One was LK950 and the other 950s. The 950s had all the smart TV features. But there was no LK952 released anywhere in the world.I guessed that our 952 should be the bare LK950 because of the general trend of our Indian subsidiaries picking up low end models for better pricing (We need to confirm it.I mailed LG customer care about it and they have not replied. And the Bangalore LG Regional Sales office doesnt pick the phone).

For those interested in the specs :
The model is sold as 47LK950 in Europe (There's another 950s with Smart TV but I guess 952 is not that) - 100Hz,2.4ms,3 HDMI 1.4,Cinema 3D with 4 pairs of glasses inbox.

Home Theater 3D: LG 47LK950 review

Comments:
1.Being a LCD, lets agree - less of care.No burn worries . And panel issues during warranty period are comparitively easier to argue with the company for replacement( as seen by customer experiences in h*f*vision).
3.Being a LCD, brightness may help in a brightly lit room.
4.4 pair of passive 3d glasses and replaceable easily.(Supports all formats:T/B, S/S, C/B, F/P (24Hz).
5.100Hz and 2.4ms -good for a LCD.
6.Connecting computer is viable even with static parts of screen. And SD channels with lot of programming with black bars don;t cause a problem.
7.Nearly half the power consumption of a plasma.

Does any one have any further updates on stock availability in any place, best price and technical specification ?
