Hi guys,

Moving houses which means it's TV buying time. I needed some help from the members here on which TV to get in my room. I am looking at a 50" tv (viewing distance is about 10-11 feet) and didn't want to spend a lot of money on the top end models of the big players. I have a PS4, and a Tata Sky. I plan to use the TV extensively for Netflix 4K, youtube, PS4 gaming etc.

I had initially decided that it was a very clear choice to go for the VU - the on paper specs and price point of <50k seemed a no brainer to me. However, on reading a lot, I'm seeing some drawbacks like the 4k being fake 4k etc.

The one that really got me to decide against Vu is the user interface - I was under the impression all these TV's are smooth and it's just a matter of preference, but apparently Vu interface is quite slow and laggy. That's a real breaker for me.

So I am looking at the LG 49UH650 now; I am getting it for ~70k post discounts and cash back on Paytm. That's a bit higher than I wanted to go, but if I am getting an LG for this price, it seems like the best one at this price range.

Any suggestions about the TV or any alternatives I should look at?

Will appreciate the feedback guys :)

Good choice but you should also consider buying something with Dolby Vision support, since netflix has dolby vision which far better than hdr10.

I see the 770t and all the models above (which they call Super UHD vs the just UHD) have Dolby vision. So that's the only difference I can see as such. The 770t is about 80k - was wondering if Dolby Vision justifies 10k more and whether it makes THAT much of a difference.

On some more research, I am getting this model for 67k on ebay. It's a Samsung 50KU6000 (which I believe is the American model)

The other models I am getting in this budget is the Samsung 50KU6470.

These are all looking very good to me, can someone more experienced please give me some details on these models and the differences in them, also these vs the LG?
