LG Cinema 3D Smart TV

It is safe to buy from flipkart, but they won't ship to all locations. For example, they have no service for TVs in Kerala.

Go for the largest model that you can afford. 3D looks better as the screen size increases. LGs passive 3D is better than active 3D used by other brands.

HOw much do these cost? I'm thinking of buying a 47inch or 55inch model.
The 55inch model (LM6200) is 1.2lakh at flipkart. Any store that can match this price?

I bought the 47" for 82K. Also seems like it is available for 77K without warranty in grey market. Not sure about that though. Awesome 3D. Nothing that can beat that. Best 3D TV in this price range.

Where did you buy it? In an official LG store? Btw, is the magic remote provided with the lm6200 series? What about wifi?
I'm planning on buying the 55inch model.

Does the polarization filter affect the 2D picture quality? That is, can you see lines when up close when watching normal 2D?

I bought it from the local dealer. Magic remote is not provided with 47" model. You have to buy a separate Wi-Fi dongle for connecting to the web. Also only the LG Wi-Fi dongle should be used which would cost around Rs.3.5K. Other Wi-Fi dongles would not work.

If you watch a 55" LED from 5 feet you would get eye strain and severe headache. Surely there would be pixilation while watching 2D up-close if you chose to watch it in a 55" LED. You would atleast require a 10 feet distance for a 55" LED.

LG sells the magic remote based on the series and not on size, for e.g I have
47 " LGLM 7600 and this series includes magic remote and inbuilt wifi.

Bought this 8 months back from LG shoppe for 1.18L but the prices have come down drastically now.

Yesterday i got refund for my LG 55" 7600.

Faulty Trumotion.... Excess Bleeding and Bad Viewing Angle ....

I checked it on the showroom also... Same model 47" ... no issues.... bur 55" have serious problems...

Few things I would like to suggest - dont rely on online prices. At times, they are worth buying for smaller electronic products but for the TV purchase my personal experience is different. You might get a better deal from retail outlets along with some freebies. For size just consider your viewing distance because youll also watch 3d and for watching 3d a proper distance from the screen is quite necessary.

You can buy locally with good negotiations. I brought my 46 3d led by almost 2k lesser than online lowest price. But had to bargain hard.

One distinct disadvantage buying online and especially TV would be that you might not know if it is a demo piece. I've seen what the dealers do with the demo piece. To make his point one dealer threw a tennis ball at the LED TV to show that it is rugged and the display is unbreakable.

I thought the viewing angle is no longer an issue due to LG's circular polarisation method? Have you guys played with the depth control? Does it help with weaker 3D titles like The Amazing Spider-Man?
I plan on watching a 55inch Passive Display from 6-7 feet.
I'm currently wondering whether to go with the LM6200 series or the LM6700 series. Does having a wider bezel help with the 3D by providing a better frame of reference?

I got a quote of 1.17 lakh including tax for the 55inch LM6700. Is this a good deal or has anybody gotten it a lower price? I'm hoping for discounts in the first week of April due to Ugadi festival and IPL.

You may need to buy it earlier as the budget price may kick in after end of March. Not sure if the excise has been increased for LED in this budget but not aware if any concession was given to LED panels. Check as many dealers as you can and compare price before buying. Also if you are gonna watch a 3D movie from 6 ft in a 55" LED you may need some asprin tablets after you finish watching the movie. I tried watching it in a 47" and got severe headache after 20 mins.

It is better if you check other retailer sites apart from Flipkart. On ebay you can get same product in different prices from different sellers. If possible try to bargain from nearest retailer shop.

That's a bummer, man! So did you get a replacement for your LM7600, or did you get any other model? Don't tell me you are managing without a TV!

Edit: I can see from your forum signature that you will not be left without a TV! So, is that LG Plasma TV the new one?

I got a 55inch LG Passive 3D TV (LM6700) :D . I went for this instead of a projector as I'm going to get more usage out of a TV. I honestly don't find it feasible to actually turn off all the lights and watch a movie on a projector with total immersion except on Sundays.Besides, I'm happy with my current Optoma projector. A TV on the other hand, I can simply switch on and watch anytime, even if for 15-20mins. I didn't go for Active 3D as I have my Nvidia glasses which I use with my projector. I wanted a more relaxing 3D experience with my TV and wanted to try something different. I haven't really played with it much but I like the image quality so far. :D My only gripe is that the screen is HIGHLY reflective, to the point where it's like a mirror in dark scenes. Really tired today but I can't wait to actually play with it during the next few days :D .
I bought it from Sathya Agencies for 1.17 lakhs including tax.

Fantastic!!!! Congrats on your purchase. Looks great. How is the PQ in SD and HD channels?

Hi

Any idea for the current price for this model... Which is better 47" or 55"?

Thanks. I still don't have a DTH service, using cable.

I checked out a few blu-rays and I like the PQ after tweaking a little bit. The 3D is disappointing for me.

Btw, which TV do you have?

Go for Videocon DTH. Number of HD channels and regional channels are more. How did you watch the 3D? Did you use Blu-ray 3D player to watch or through downloaded half SBS content? The viewing distance and lightning ambience in the room also matters for 3D viewing. Atleast 10ft distance is required for the size of the TV you have for good 3D viewing.

I have mentioned my TV in the signature.
